Introducing the third category of ingredients following probiotics and prebiotics
The relationship between health and intestinal bacteria is currently a research field that is attracting a lot of attention.
Of particular importance to health are substances (intestinal metabolites) that are metabolized by intestinal bacteria from ingested food.
Daicel is therefore proposing a third method of food development called "postbiotics," in which intestinal metabolites converted from food through a fermentation method using intestinal bacteria are directly ingested orally.
