Konjac potato is a Japanese traditional crop, it is popular as a food material.
In this exhibition, we introduce new products which are functional ingredients, such as glucosylceramide and mannose, from konjac potato.

Detail | Konjac potato contains a lot of glucosylceramides which improve moisture retaining property of skin. Konjac glucosylceramide extracts contain many fats, it is difficult to use directly as an ingredient of drinks and jellies. We developed new a konjac glucosylceramide extract, which are able to be used as an ingredient for water-containing product, by eliminating fats selectively. |

Detail | A main component of konjac potatoes is a polysaccharide glucomannan, which is composed of glucose and mannose. Mannose is effective in prevention of urinary tract infection. We have developed konjac mannose, which is a natural material, with our own production technologies. It is able to be used as a new functional food ingredient. |
